Last Friday, November 17, at Nilton Santos Stadium Brazil A 23-year-old girl who was waiting to watch Taylor Swift’s premiere has died. Ana Clara Benevides suffered from decomposition allegedly linked to the high temperatures that were recorded throughout the day in that country. Videos circulating on social media show Swift herself suffering from the heat while giving her presentation. At one point, the attendees started shouting, “Water, water,” so Taylor stopped the concert and asked his team to respond to the request.

Brazil is experiencing a heat wave with temperatures well above 40 degrees and a heat sensation reaching 58.5 degrees on Friday.

“I want to know if they are actually prohibited from fetching water, and if there is negligence in providing assistance. I know the singer was handing out water to her fans, which is ridiculous for an event of this size. The girl’s father told Brazilian media: “Nothing will bring my daughter back to me, but I hope that, if negligence is confirmed, someone will be punished, so that this does not happen to anyone else.”

“I want to say that I am very sorry for this loss and my broken heart goes out to his family and friends. “This is the last thing I thought would happen when we decided to do this tour to Brazil,” the singer wrote on social media.

After the events, the Brazilian government announced an investigation into water shortages at concerts and other public performances.
