El Salvador has the largest and most modern library on the continent

The President stressed that the new library, located in the historic center of the Salvadoran capital, is compatible with the security efforts made by his government, and that the current circumstances that the country is going through will make it easier for family groups, youth, and children to access it. “The fact that we live in a safe country, where no place is unsafe, throughout the country, people can come whenever they want. Come at dawn, stay here at 3:00 in the morning without any problem,” Bukele said.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of Culture indicated that the building has an area of ​​24 thousand square meters and will remain open 24 hours a day throughout the year, which makes it the first library in the world in its administrative form.

Doradea also explained that this library is a modern 5G building equipped with Internet on the seven levels that it consists of and will serve the Salvadoran population daily.

In addition to books and internet access, the facility will offer early childhood and nursing space, themed rooms and game rooms, as well as technology spaces for virtual reality, flight simulators, medicine, robotics, resin printers and 3D scanners.

On August 20, 2018, El Salvador announced the severing of relations with Taiwan in order to establish relations with China, when the country was ruled by the leftist Salvador Sanchez Ceren, from the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front, which is currently an opposition party.

Bukele stuck to the decision, and after visiting the Asian giant, he announced the signing of a non-refundable cooperation agreement for various projects that include BINAES.
